Breakfast. City tour of Colombo. Leave for Sigiriya. On the way stop and visit the Pinnawala Elephant Orphanage. The elephant orphanage was founded in order to allow the care and protection of many wild elephants orphaned found wandering in and near the forests of Sri Lanka. Visit Dambulla cave Temple. It is the largest and best preserved cave temple complex in Sri Lanka. The rock towers 160 m over the surrounding plains. There are more than 80 documented caves in the surrounding. Major attractions are spread over 5 caves, which contain statues and paintings. This paintings and statues are related to Lord Buddha and his life. There are a total of 153 Buddha statues, 3 statues of Sri Lankan kings and 4 statues of god and goddess. Dinner and overnight stay at the Hotel.
After Breakfast climb to the Rock fortress Sigiriya. Sigiriya (Lion’s rock) is an ancient rock fortress and palace built during the reign of King Kassapa I (AD 477 – 495). After breakfast leave for Kandy Nalanda and Matale. Visit Gedige at Nalanda one of the remarkable archaeological sites in Sri Lanka & enjoying the Spice garden at Matale and take part in a conducted tour to get some knowledge about the growth and use of spices in the day to day life. Evening city tour of Kandy Center of Traditional Culture of Sri Lanka, where it is guarded “the Sacred Tooth of Buddha”. Kandy, also called “the great city” was the last of the ‘island capital before the surrender to the British in 1815. Dinner and overnight stay at hotel in Kandy.
After breakfast Visit Royal Botanical Garden at Peradeniya then leave for Nuwara Eliya. On the way visit a Tea Factory and a Plantation to witness the manufacturing process of world famous “Ceylon Tea” and to taste a pure un-blended cup of factory fresh tea. Also pass by eye-catching views with waterfalls. Transfer to Nuwara Eliya via Peradeniya. Evening city tour of Nuwara Eliya Including Victoria Park, Gregory Lake and Golf Course, the 125 year old club is situated within the city limits. Established in 1891. One of Asia’s finest Golf Club. After breakfast leave for Yala. On the way enjoy the scenery at Ella Gap and also pass by eye-catching views. In the evening do a half day jeep safari to Yala National park, Yala National Park is the second largest and most visited national park in Sri Lanka. The park covers 979 square kilometers, The Park is best known for its variety of its wild animals. It is important for the conservation of Sri Lanka an Elephants and aquatic birds.
