User Agreement
You must agree to these terms and conditions to access and use this website. Before utilizing our website and services, please carefully read the following terms. You should not use this website or its services if you disagree with these terms.
By using the www.ontareo.com website or corresponding with ONTAREO Travel & Tour via written correspondence regarding travel plans, you attest to the fact that you are at least eighteen years old and that you have read, comprehended, and accepted these terms and conditions in their entirety. Under-18s are required to communicate through a parent or legal guardian. All parties engaged are intended to be protected by these terms and conditions.
Reservation Guidelines
We are owned and operated by ONTAREO, located at 265/A Uduwewela Galathara, Sri Lanka. Customers are required to read and understand the terms and conditions of the supplier, including booking conditions, which can be provided upon request. By making a purchase, you agree to adhere to the terms established by your selected supplier. Failure to comply with these terms may lead to the cancellation of your reservations or purchases, denial of access to accommodations, loss of payments made, and potential charges to your account for costs resulting from the violation.
You are solely responsible for all charges, fees, duties, taxes, and other assessments incurred when using this website. Furthermore, you will be responsible for any expenses arising from transactions made on your behalf by others.
Round Tours
A booking is accepted only after we receive confirmation from you along with full payment or a non-refundable deposit of 25% of the total value. For peak seasons, a 50% advance payment of the total value is required.
Special Activities
For special activities like Ayurvedic sessions, yoga, or meditation, a booking is accepted only after we receive confirmation from you along with full payment or a non-refundable deposit of 25%.
Methods of Payment
You can make payments for deposits and final balances for your travel arrangements via:
- Bank Transfers
- Credit card (Visa & MasterCard) upon arrival. An additional handling fee of 2.65% will be applied to the agreed invoice value.
We accept payments in USD, EURO, and LKR.
Price Policy
All prices are provided in US dollars. We offer customized packages mostly based on activities and round trips. Prices may change due to factors beyond our control, such as government regulations or exchange rate fluctuations. Your travel arrangement costs may increase due to external reasons beyond our control.
Cancellation Policy
Round Tours
- 50% of the total cost if canceled less than 30 days before arrival.
- 75% of the total cost if canceled less than 14 days before arrival.
- 100% of the total cost if canceled less than 7 days before arrival.
- No refund for early departure, late arrival, or no-show.
Pickup/Drop and Activities
- Full refund if canceled at least 24 hours before the experience’s start date.
- For special activities (Ayurvedic sessions, yoga, meditation), cancellations must be made at least 5 days in advance for a 75% refund.
- No refund for early departure, late arrival, or no-show.
Amendments
We reserve the right to charge a fee of USD 100 for any changes to your confirmed booking, such as switching tours or modifying travel arrangements. This fee is in addition to any cancellation or other charges imposed by operators or suppliers.
Health & Wellness, Passport & Visas
It is your responsibility to ensure your medical fitness for travel and to possess valid passports, visas, and other relevant documents. Without proper travel documents, we are not responsible for any resulting issues.
Client Responsibilities
- We accept liability only for incidents arising from our proven negligence.
- We are not liable for supplier negligence, acts of nature, or unforeseen events (e.g., war, natural disasters).
Breakages and Damages
You or a member of your party will be responsible for any breakages, losses, or damages caused during your stay. You must rectify the damage or pay the supplier before departure.
Accountability
You must comply with all travel regulations. Disruptive behavior may result in holiday termination without liability on our part.
Subject to Bound with Us
If any condition is invalid, the rest remain enforceable. The contract is governed by Sri Lankan law.
Complaints
Address issues directly with the service provider and inform ONTAREO. Feedback is encouraged.
Liability Disclaimer
We correct errors when notified but are not liable for reliance on website content or third-party links.
Data Safety & Accuracy
Your information will be kept confidential and protected.
Digital Correspondence
We are not liable for viruses or reliance on website information.
Communication
We connect via email, phone, and WhatsApp. Your data is secure.
Value Data Protection Regarding Tourists
Your data is protected but may be disclosed for legal reasons (e.g., police investigations, court orders).
